Preparation
Turn off the main water supply valve under the sink and open the faucet to drain any remaining water in the pipes; this prevents spraying or splashing onto the countertop during disassembly.
Have a dry cloth ready to improve grip; for models screwed on very tightly, use the dedicated filter wrench included with the product-no other tools are required.
Step-by-Step Replacement
Unscrew the housing and remove the old cartridge: Rotate the filter's transparent or plastic housing counter-clockwise by hand. Once fully unscrewed, remove the housing and pull out the old cartridge (which may appear yellow or black).
Clean the filter housing and connections:Rinse the inner wall of the housing with clean water and wipe away any residual limescale or impurities. Check the O-ring seal to ensure it is intact; replace it if it shows signs of aging or deformation.
Install the new cartridge and reassemble: Remove the plastic wrapping from the new cartridge and insert it vertically into the housing, aligning it with the slot. Ensure the sealing ring is properly seated in its groove, then screw the housing back on clockwise. Tighten firmly but moderately to avoid stripping the threads.
Flush and check for leaks: Turn the main water valve back on and let the water run for 2–3 minutes to flush out any trace carbon dust from the new cartridge. At the same time, check the connection points for drips. Once you confirm the water runs clear and there are no leaks, the replacement process is complete.
