Tools for Removal
1-Yuan coin / Flat-head screwdriver: Used to pry open the latch on the filter access door (usually located at the bottom right of front-loading machines). Most models feature a small square slot on the cover, allowing for easy unlocking with a coin-no need to purchase specialized tools.
A few older models may require a small Phillips screwdriver to remove screws from the access panel; a standard household screwdriver will suffice.
Essential Cleaning Tools
Old soft-bristled toothbrush / Soft brush: Gently brush in the direction of the mesh weave to thoroughly remove hair and lint trapped in the crevices without scratching the filter's polypropylene (PP) plastic surface.
Running water: Rinse both the inside and outside of the filter directly under the tap to wash away loose debris and residual grime; this is the primary cleaning method.
Neutral dish soap / White vinegar: Stubborn detergent buildup or mold spots can be easily dissolved by soaking the filter for 5 minutes in warm water (35–40°C) mixed with 5ml of dish soap, or by wiping the area with a cotton swab dipped in white vinegar.
